Founder & AP Science Tutor

Aaron Thai

Third-Year Biology Major

Hello! I’m Aaron Thai, a senior at the University of the Pacific, where I’ve worked as both an academic tutor and peer mentor. For several years, I’ve also been involved in tutoring and education-focused service work in Fremont, California.

Through Pacific Science Prep, I hope to make AP Biology and Chemistry more approachable while helping students build confidence, strengthen their understanding, and reach their academic goals.

Garson Weng

AP Biology & AP Chemistry Tutor

Garson Weng

Second-Year Biology / Pre-Dental

Hi everyone! My name is Garson Weng, and I’m a second-year pre-dental student at the University of the Pacific. Having recently navigated AP Biology and AP Chemistry in high school and excelled in UOP’s general biology and chemistry courses, I know what it takes to succeed in these subjects.

I’ve hosted regular review sessions for my peers, specializing in breaking down complex scientific concepts so they can truly master the material. With Pacific Science Prep, I’m excited to bring those same strategy-driven tips and tricks to students. My goal is to help every student build a rock-solid foundation and achieve their goals.

Hi everyone! I’m Kaden Chan, a current third-year pre-dental student at the University of the Pacific. In the past, I have tutored math, reading, and science for students from elementary school through high school. At UOP, I’ve taken and excelled in biology and chemistry courses, including general biology and general chemistry.

With Pacific Science Prep, I’m excited to help students achieve their goals in AP Biology and Chemistry. I aim to build strong foundational understanding, increase confidence when tackling difficult problems, and make the subjects more enjoyable to learn.

Gavin Cheung

Chemistry Tutor

Gavin Cheung

Third-Year Biology Major

Hey everyone! I’m Gavin, a third-year biology major, and I’m excited for the chance to work with you. In the past, I worked with Kumon tutoring current and future high school students. During college, I have also helped mentor peers in their chemistry classes.

Chemistry can feel tough, but my goal with Pacific Science Prep is to make it click. Building a strong grasp of the fundamentals before moving into harder concepts can help tremendously. I want students to feel more comfortable and confident with chemistry so they can succeed on their next test or AP exam.

Hannah Lee

Third-Year Biology Major

Hello everyone! My name is Hannah Lee, and I’m a third-year student at the University of the Pacific majoring in biological sciences. Over the past year, I’ve worked as a supplemental instructor in chemistry courses at UOP, teaching introductory inorganic chemistry.

As a chemistry tutor at Pacific Science Prep, I look forward to helping students strengthen their foundational knowledge, confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. In a supportive learning environment, students can gain a deeper understanding of chemistry and enjoy the learning process.

What students can expect

A tutor should do more than give the answer.

Sessions are designed to help students recognize patterns, communicate their reasoning, and become more independent over time.

Clear explanations

Ideas are broken down and explained from multiple angles.

Active practice

Students solve, explain, and revise instead of only watching.

Supportive accountability

Sessions stay encouraging while still emphasizing preparation and effort.
